Research Interests:
Research interests are focused on the ecology of wetland bird communities, including especially the role of habitat factors in shaping avian species richness, breeding densities of rails (Virginia and Sora), and breeding densities and sex ratios of songbirds (especially the red-winged blackbird). Other research interests include the impact of tourism on ungulate behavior in alpine environments (goats and sheep on Mt. Evans).
